Siem Reap

Just got back from my holidays to Siem Reap, Cambodia and have to say that it was a really wonderful trip. We stayed at FCC hotel which is a nice boutique hotel in the middle of Siem Reap town. The temples of Angkor Wat were magnificent and what I found really amazing was how these people managed to come up with such grand temples a thousand years ago. My favourite has to be Ta Phrom (i.e. the Angelina Jolie tomb raider temple) as there we see the jungle taking over the temple. Kind of like "nature's revenge" against man.

On the MBA front, I brought my essays but didn't manage to do one bit of writing there. It was kind of hard as we went as a group of 7 friends. Time was spent either sight seeing or chatting (or for my wife - shopping). I guess I have to really put more effort on the essays now that holidays are over. Time is ticking and October 11 is approaching fast.

Finally - this weekend is the start of the FA Premier League season and I am eagerly anticipating to see how the Gunners will do this season. The sale of capt Vieira is sure to put a dent to our capabilities but I trust Mr Wenger's decision making as so far he has hardly put a foot wrong. It's good to see that he has faith with the youngsters (Cesc, Reyes, Flamini, Clichy, Senderos, etc.), and I too look forward to seeing them form the backbone of Arsenal for many years to come.
